Cold weather has finally arrived for the year!  This article provides a bit of cold weather printer trivia that can help you avoid confusion once the thermometer drops.

Both the NeuraLabel 300x printer and its ink cartridges have a normal temperature operating specification of 15°C-30°C (59°F-86°F).  If the printer or ink should reach temperatures below than 5°C (40°F) an error code will appear.

The product will display an 0x6100000b on the front panel if startup is attempted when the product / supplies are too cold. Both printer and ink acclimation, if frozen, is 2-4 hours.

Printer:  Unpack the product.  Open the doors on the product and pull out the trays. Leave the device in the installation area until there is no visible condensation before proceeding with installation.

Ink:  Unpack the ink cartridges. It is important to remove the ink cartridges from their packaging and to separate them to speed the acclimation process. Packaging will act as an insulation barrier and prevent frozen ink from thawing quickly.
