With most of the world under stay-at-home orders due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there’s been a rush for people to purchase certain retail products. First, there was a shortage (on retail shelves at least) of toilet paper, and in late March another product was in short supply – hand sanitizer.
The team at NeuraLabel can attest to the uptick in chemical sanitizers and disinfectants with multiple customers ordering printers or additional toner for their NeuraLabel digital label printers.
Overall hand sanitizer sales are
up 313.4% for the year.

There’s a wide gamut of companies making the switch to produce hand sanitizer including the likes of SpaceX, TrueValue, and even perfume manufacturers. Not only are these companies providing a much-needed resource in the fight against the Coronavirus, but they are also keeping workers employed in a time when the global economy has been severely impacted and layoffs have pushed the U.S. jobless over 10 million.
In probably the easiest changeover, 600+ distilleries in the U.S. have switched their manufacturing lines to produce hand sanitizer. In our hometown of Houston, we are helping local distilleries such as William Price Distilling by providing hand sanitizer labels printed on our demonstration equipment.

As the thousands of offices, retail locations, and restaurants re-open in the coming weeks and months, there will be continued demand for hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, and cleaning chemicals.
NeuraLabel digital label printers and finishing equipment are an ideal match for fast affordable production of full-color, durable, chemical-resistant labels.
