NeuraLabel Printing Solutions will repurpose its fleet of Stratasys F170 digital 3D printers to produce a component for face shields for the greater Houston community in our ongoing effort to defeat the COVID-19 virus. In conjunction with an effort by TXRXlabs, a local non-profit makerspace, and other local businesses, NeuraLabel will help supply the critical face shield component.

Face Shields are a type of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) needed by hospitals and front line care providers. TXRXlabs have supplied the downloadable 3D models needed to print this Face Shield component. NeuraLabel, and other companies with access to 3D printers, print the component in-house, and deliver it to TXRX who then adds a clear face shield visor, completes the product, and readies it for distribution.

“Everything fell into place,” commented Sherry Land, NeuraLabel owner, and engineer. “A friend of ours sent me an article about how Houston companies were using their 3D printers to print face shields. Another friend with a local Optometry business shared that they hoped to reopen their business, but lacked the proper PPE needed to see clientele. Did we know anyone who could help? And then finally, a coworker who has connections with Houston Community College stepped up to let us know about the TXRXlabs and its effort. We immediately began printing the 3D parts.”

NeuraLabel Printing Solutions creates continuous label printers for chemical, medical, foods, and many other industries. 3D printed parts are an important part of the NeuraLabel printer product line. We are proud to be an American company and honored to help supply these components to help our nation’s fight against the Coronavirus.
